|Prospective pupils may be registered for admission at any time after birth. Where entry to the School is based on an entrance assessment (Years 3 - 10) registrations should ideally be received at least a year preceding the desired date of admission (e.g. by September 2014 for September 2015 admission) to benefit from all communications relating to the next admissions cycle.|
Once published, a detailed timetable for the senior schools, which includes specific cut-off dates for registration to different entry year groups for the next admissions cycle, can be downloaded below. Parents of candidates who are registered will receive a letter advising of the admissions timetable.
Registration takes place by completing the registration form that is included with the prospectus information book, and sending this along with a registration fee of £100 to the Admissions Department (Overton House, 131 High Street, Berkhamsted, HP4 2DJ).
Please complete the Request a Prospectus Form if you wish to receive a prospectus, or you can access PDF versions of the information that makes up the prospectus pack using the links below.
We suggest that parents of prospective pupils visit the School before deciding to register their son or daughter. We offer a number of ways in which you can find out more about what Berkhamsted School can offer your child:
Open Days - we hold at least one Open Day a year for each part of the School - Prep, Senior Girls, Senior Boys and Sixth Form. Details of our next Open Days are found by clicking the following link: Open Days
Principal's Tours - tours are conducted by the Principal of Berkhamsted School, Mr Mark Steed, alternating between Castle (Senior Boys and Sixth Form) and Kings (Senior Girls and Sixth Form).
Head's Tours - the Heads/Deputy Heads of the five parts of Berkhamsted School - Pre-Prep, Prep, Girls, Boys and Sixth - offer a meeting and comprehensive tour to parents of prospective pupils at a mutually convenient time.
Please complete the Request a Visit Form if you would like to book a place on a Principal's Tour or make an appointment for a meeting and a Head's Tour.
